Event Description:
Introducing the second annual IROAR (IDAHO RECOVERY OPEN AWARENESS RIDE) The ride will cover the entire state of Idaho, starting in Caldwell, Id. at the Canyon Recovery Community Center on Aug. 29th and will then visit a Recovery Rally at the Idaho Statehouse in Boise before moving on to our other centers throughout the weekend.
The month of September is designate recovery month in the United States, and is especially important to those of us working in and living Recovery here in Idaho. We are fortunate here to have Optum, Recovery Idaho and the Idaho Association of Recovery Community Centers supporting and advocating for citizens in all walks of recovery. The IARCC offers support and referrals to recoveries and their families in communities all across Idaho. Recovery Community Centers are not treatment centers. We are not fee for service businesses. We operate as non-profits and rely on grants and generous donations from our communities. The Gem County Center together with Optum of Idaho, coordinates this ride and your support will be greatly appreciated.
THIS STATEWIDE EVENT IS INTENDED TO BRING AWARENESS TO RECOVERY ISSUES THROUGHOUT OUR ENTIRE STATE.
