Pet Adoption League (PAL) of Gem County is sponsoring a training session with experts from Meridian Canine Rescue for people who are having problems with their dogs. Though this session is open to all sorts of training issues, we know rescue dogs can be a bit more prone to severe unwanted behaviors. These can be difficult to address because, often, so little is known about the dog’s history. That's why we called in the experts. Common problems are:
jumping, pulling, and running away
reactivity to other dogs, people with hats, or even inane objects
separation anxiety that shows itself as destroying furniture or self-harm like licking or chewing paws
real aggression toward people and other pets
Jessica Ewing (Executive Director) and Jennifer Harrington (Behavior & Training Coordinator) will spend some time answering your questions and offering advice for your specific situation.
Where: PAL, 1526 North Washington Ave, Emmett ID.
When: 3:00-5:00 pm Saturday, July 27
Who: Anyone who needs help with tough dog behavior (NO DOGS are allowed at this session).
Cost: Free
RSVP (IMPORTANT): With your name, phone number, and number of attendees on Facebook Messenger or leave a message at 208-365-1359. Do not RSVP in the comments section of this post.
Format: This will be an open discussion with Jessica and Jennifer of Meridian Canine Rescue to share ideas and solutions.
